Hi, my name is Ashley Hogg. I'm a CPGA teaching professional here at Seymour Creek Golf Centre. Today I'm going to talk a little bit about ball position. Some people don't realize that when you use different clubs, you have to change the position of the ball. If I was using a wedge - a sand wedge - pitching wedge, I'd like the ball to be closer to my back foot before I hit the shot. If I was to use any of my middle irons, 7 iron, 8 iron, 9, iron. I want that ball right in the middle of my stance. As soon as I change my club to a wood, 5 wood, 3 wood driver. I would like to see the ball close to my front foot. The longer the club, the farther forward the ball. The shorter the club, I'm going to move it closer to my back foot. That's the easiest way to remember.
