The Masters Tournament could be facing a dramatic shakeup as top golfers Scottie Scheffler and Sam Burns revealed they might prioritize fatherhood over the coveted green jacket.
Expecting Fathers Prioritize Family
Both Scheffler, currently the world's number one golfer, and Burns are expecting their first child with their wives due at the end of the month, putting the Masters right in the thick of potential parenthood.
Scheffler emphasized his priorities, stating, "There's no tournament on earth more important than being there for the birth of your first child. If Meredith goes into labor, I'll be on the first flight out of Augusta."
Burns echoed those sentiments, vowing to make a similar departure if his wife Caroline gives birth during the competition.
Wide-Open Tournament
With Scheffler considered the favorite and Burns a rising star, their potential withdrawal could significantly impact the entire Masters leaderboard. The question remains: will these golfing dads get to wear the green jacket, or a diaper bag? Only time (and perhaps a stork) will tell!
