Hi there, I'm Ted Swaine directory of golf at the sandpiper golf resort. We're on hole eleven just by the green. I've been working on my short game and I'm going to try to show you how you can practice to get a little spin on those short chip shots around the green just to get your ball to check up a little bit when you pitch it up onto the green. It gives you a bit more control. One thing I like to do is make sure that my stance is open to the target so that I have nothing in the way. My body is not in the way. I am also going to try to take the club just a little bit on the outside away from the ball and then come across it. That will give you a little bit of spin. I'm going to give it a go. Maybe put the ball back a bit in your stance as well. You should be able to get a little bit of check on your ball. From this distance it is not going to spin a lot so don't expect that. Work on that and practice at your local chipping green.
